What is a dubbing game?
In a dubbing game you take a scene from a film, a show or any video, mute the voices and record new ones. The fun is in the result: a serious scene with the wrong voices, a cartoon with your friend as the villain, a line delivered completely wrong on purpose.
Dub Party turns that into a party game. Everyone gets a role, everyone records, and nobody hears the full thing until the premiere.
How multiplayer works
- Online party: up to 8 players over Steam. Make a private room for your friends or join a public lobby. The host picks the scene and Dub Party gets a copy to everyone in the room.
- Couch party: up to 8 people on one computer. Pass the microphone, record your lines, hand it on.
- Solo: pick the roles you want and voice them all yourself.
If your connection drops in the middle of a round, the game rejoins the room by itself and gives you back your roles.
What you need
- A PC with Windows or Linux, or a Steam Deck
- A microphone. A headset is enough
- Steam, and friends who own the game for online play. A couch party needs only one copy

The booth
Each line plays with its original voice first so you know the timing. Press record, say your line, play it back. Keep the take or record again as often as you want. Add a voice effect, nudge the timing, or split a take that came out too long.
The premiere
When everyone is done, the dub plays with the scene's music and sound effects underneath. Throw reactions at the screen while it runs, then save the dub as a video to send around.
Scenes
Find community scenes in the Steam Workshop browser inside the game, or make your own from any video with the importer and Auto Dub. Read more in How to play.
